Morris County Can Cleaners (MCCC) – Terms & Conditions of Service

By signing up for service with Morris County Can Cleaners (hereafter “MCCC”), the customer agrees to the following terms and conditions:
1.
Service Overview
MCCC provides professional exterior and interior cleaning of residential garbage cans and commercial dumpsters on a recurring or one-time basis. Services are performed using high-pressure, high-temperature cleaning equipment.
2.
Service Day & Access
- Cleanings will occur the DAY AFTER TRASH AND RECYCLING PICKUP unless otherwise arranged.
- The customer must ensure bins are left curbside and accessible by 8:00 AM on the day of service.
- Inaccessible bins (behind fences, garages, blocked, etc.) will not be cleaned and no refunds will be issued.
- MCCC is not responsible for missed cleanings due to bins not being emptied by the municipality or waste hauler.
3.
Service Eligibility
- Bins must be emptied prior to cleaning. MCCC does not clean bins containing waste.
- Bins containing hazardous materials, chemicals, or biohazards will not be serviced.
- If waste is present, the cleaning will be skipped and counted as a completed service.
- Bins must be in a safe condition for cleaning. Heavily damaged or hazardous bins may be refused service.
4.
Weather & Extenuating Circumstances
- In cases of severe weather, road closures, equipment failure, or other force majeure events, MCCC may reschedule cleanings at its discretion.
- MCCC is not liable for delays, missed appointments, or cancellations caused by events beyond its control, including (but not limited to): natural disasters, government restrictions, public emergencies, or labor shortages.
5.
Billing & Payment
- All recurring services are billed automatically prior to each scheduled cleaning. (Ex. payment today will cover the first cleaning and the charge after the first cleaning will be for the next cleaning)
- One-time cleanings must be prepaid.
- Failed or declined payments may result in service suspension or cancellation.
- Prices are subject to change with 30 days’ written notice.
6.
Customer Responsibilities
- It is the customer’s responsibility to notify MCCC of any changes to trash pickup days, bin accessibility, or contact information.
- Customers are responsible for any fees resulting from false claims or repeated missed appointments.
7.
Damage & Liability
- MCCC uses commercial-grade equipment and follows strict safety protocols.
- MCCC is not responsible for pre-existing damage to bins, surrounding property, pavement, or landscaping.
- MCCC is not liable for damages caused by loose handles, wheels, or structural defects in the bins.
- Any damage claims must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of service.
8.
Indemnification
The customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Morris County Can Cleaners, its employees, owners, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, demands, lawsuits, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Use of services;
- Bin contents or waste exposure;
- Inadequate bin access or condition;
- Any personal injury or property damage not directly caused by gross negligence of MCCC.
9.
Service Termination
- Customers may cancel or pause service at any time. Notifications must be received at least 7 days before your next scheduled cleaning to avoid charges.
- By signing up for a Monthly Plan, you agree to a minimum of 3 consecutive cleanings (every 4 weeks).
- For a Quarterly Plan, the minimum is 2 consecutive cleanings (every 3 months).
- If you cancel before the minimum, you will be charged the difference between the discounted plan rate and our standard one-time cleaning price for each cleaning already done.
- You may pause your plan once per year (up to 2 months for Monthly or 4 months for Quarterly). Notice must be given at least 7 days before your next cleaning.
- MCCC reserves the right to cancel service at its discretion for non-payment, excessive missed appointments, abusive behavior, or unsafe conditions.
10.
Limitations of Liability
- MCCC’s total liability for any service-related issue is strictly limited to the cost of the affected cleaning service.
- Under no circumstances shall MCCC be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
11.
Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Morris County, NJ.
12.
Amendments
MCCC reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Seasonal Service
Morris County Can Cleaners (MCCC) operates on a seasonal schedule due to weather limitations. By signing up for service, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the following seasonal service terms:
- Service Season:
- MCCC provides cleaning services from approximately mid-March through mid-December, weather permitting.
- Winter Pause:
- Services are suspended during the winter season (typically late December through early March) due to freezing temperatures and safety concerns. This pause applies to all service levels, including recurring subscriptions.
- Billing During Off-Season:
- Customers on recurring plans will not be billed during the off-season. Billing resumes automatically with the return of service in spring.
- Rescheduling & Weather Delays:
- During the operating season, services may be delayed or rescheduled due to:
- Freezing temperatures
- Heavy rain, snow, or wind
- Road closures or hazardous conditions
- Equipment issues caused by weather
- In such cases, MCCC will notify customers and make reasonable efforts to reschedule service as soon as conditions allow.
- No Winter Cleanings:
- Due to the risk of equipment damage and safety hazards, no bin or dumpster cleanings will be performed during the winter pause. Customers agree to resume service in the next eligible cleaning cycle once the season restarts.
- Customer Responsibilities:
- It is the customer’s responsibility to be aware of this seasonal service window and plan accordingly.
